Wouldn't it be cool to travel into space like in the gift? In the gift the people loaded onto the shuttle to mars just like the average day plane. In this Sci-Fi story Ray Bradbury makes it to where the characters can travel to a distant planet in a short matter of time compared to the time that it takes to get probe On this space ship the boy could not bring his present because it weighed to much just like the average weight requirement that planes have so they are not weighed down too much.
Today many rockets can not hold many people or much supplies. And to take off from a terminal is unheard of because with all the force coming from the engine the rocket wold probably blow out all the windows in the whole terminal. The good news for space flight is that NASA is trying to design a shuttle like vehicle that can transport people and supplies to the international space station.
